Things Get Hairy at Lakewood Library with “Peanut Butter Dogs” Photographer Greg Murray

Thu 5/11 @ 7PM

Animal-welfare organizations unite with photographer Greg Murray at the Lakewood Public Library for his Peanut Butter Dogs — the book.

Peanut Butter Dogs arose from the Lakewoodite Murray’s personal project to photograph the faces of dogs (many of them shelter canines and rescues) in whimsical attitudes after eating peanut butter. The photos started out as portfolio/promo pieces, but soon were picked up by major news outlets and internet sites.

Now Murray’s book, Peanut Butter Dogs, contains 140 of his best images, and his Lakewood Library presentation will also serve as a drop-off point for a pet-food drive. Reps from the Cleveland APL will also be arranging dog adoptions on site.

Admission is free. Books will be available for sale and signing, not to mention pawing through.
