Gallery W Features Large-Scale Works By Cleveland Artists Loren Naji & George Kozmon

Thu 5/4 @ 5-7PM

Gallery W at American Greetings Creative Studios in Westlake is new but has quickly made its mark on the art scene with some important shows.

Its next show, Splendid Dissonance: Monumental Works by George Kozmon and Loren Naji, features work by two artists well-known around the area for their conceptually adventurous work. Kosmon makes enormous landscape paintings that play with concepts of perception, scale and symbols. Conceptual sculpture Naji is known for his work with spheres, such as the public work at the West 25th Street Rapid Station and his hollow spherical EMOH, constructed from pieces of demolished houses, in which he lived for a month while competing against nearly 1,500 other artists in the Grand Rapid Arts Prize competition, finishing in the top 20.

The show opens with a reception Thu 5/4 @ 5-7pm and is on view through Fri 6/30.
