Former Creed Vocalist Scott Stapp Unplugs at the Kent Stage

Thu 5/25 @ 7:30PM

Scott Stapp was the voice of the band Creed, a Pearl Jam-inspired pop-grunge outfit best known for its melodramatic hits, “Higher” and “With Arms Wide Open,” in the late ’90s. The band broke up in 2004, in part because of Stapp’s personal struggles with substance abuse and bipolar disease, and their 2009-2012 reunion was short-lived.

Stapp eventually overcame his problems to launch a solo career and a collaboration called Art of Anarchy. He’s back on the road on his Scott Stapp Live & Unplugged tour, with Willet and Art of Dying. They’ll be at the Kent Stage; tickets are $33 in advance, $38 at the door. Special VIP packages are also available.
