Dynamic Duo Introduces Little Ones to Piano & Violin at Severance Hall Kids’ Concerts

Fri 5/12 @ 10AM

Sat 5/13 @ 11AM

Usually, the Musical Rainbow kids’ concerts at Severance Hall focus on introducing children ages 3-6 to a single instrument. This week they’ll get to hear two of the biggies at the Dynamic Duo concert. The DD is the violin and piano, and they’ll be played by recently retired Cleveland Orchestra violinist Stephen Warner and his wife, Carolyn Gadiel Warner, who still takes her place in the orchestra’s second violin section at every concert (She’ll also play piano). Together they perform as the Cleveland Duo.

As usual, each of these half-hour programs teaches the kids a little about each instrument, how it sounds and how its played, and encourages them to sing, clap and bounce around with some easy-to-grasp tunes. They take place in the smaller and less intimidating Reinberger Chamber Hall at Severance Hall. Tickets are $7.
