Distinguished Gentlemen of the Spoken Word Honor the Stokes Brothers at the Cleveland Museum of Art

Sun 5/14 @ @2PM

The Distinguished Gentlemen of the Spoken Word is a Cleveland spoken-word performance group of young black men ages 8-18 who have performed at schools, churches, festivals and other venues around Ohio, as well as occasional special performances out of the area.

They’ll be performing at the Cleveland Museum of Art as part of the yearlong tribute to Carl and Louis Stokes. The museum commissioned them to put together an original piece based on the writings and speeches of the Stokes brothers, which they’ll debut at Gartner Auditorium. It’s free but reservations are required. Go here.
