The Cleveland Asian Festival, Making Asian Festivals Great Again

Sat 5/20-Sun 5/21 @ 11AM-7PM

Practically the Godzilla of local ethnic-culture festivals, the annual Cleveland Asian Festival is held, appropriately, in Cleveland’s Chinatown area bordering Cleveland State University.

With a focus on everything Eastern, from India to Tibet to China to Thailand to Cambodia to Vietnam to Singapore to Japan to the Philippines, the Cleveland Asian Festival has it all: sumo wrestling and martial-arts demos, Japanimation cosplay, pop-song and traditional vocalists, and mouth-watering food.

Local broadcast personalities Wayne Wong, Lynn Lai and Chris Tanaka are guest emcees. Street tents allow the vendors and exhibitions to continue rain or shine, and one of the venues is the storied Asia Plaza mini-mall on Payne Avenue.

Admission is free, but no pets are allowed. Free parking at nearby CSU lots is available.
