Cleveland’s Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry does a ton of good work in the city, including preparing food for community meals and training people re-entering from prison in food preparation for employment.
Its benefit Savor 2017 to raise money for its work takes place at one of Cleveland’s nostalgic locations most people don’t get to visit anymore: Higbee’s Silver Grille, once one of those quintessential department store lunch rooms you went to with your grandmother, wearing white gloves.
The event will feature tastings from Great Lakes Brewing Company, Melt Bar and Grilled, J. Pistone Market and Gathering Place, the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking, Mitchell’s Ice Cream, Adega at the 9, Pier W, Spice Kitchen + Bar, Rising Star Coffee Roasters and the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s own Central Kitchen.
There’ll also be cocktails, champagne, the requisite raffles with high-end prizes and live entertainment. And Tower City will be lit up in blue and green in support of the event. Tickets are $150.
