It’s Mike Pence’s worst nightmare! In Robert Askins’ play Hand to God, which debuted off Broadway in 2011 and on Broadway in 2015, puppets created by a Christian ministry in a small Texas town to teach young people how to lead Godly lives run amok and do the opposite. But one puppet, Tyrone, breaks free, tells them he is Satan come to lead them into sin, as reveals their “un-Christian” secrets, the sort that all those right-wing politicians who spend their lives obsessing about the sex lives of others are probably harboring.
Dobama Theatre will be staging the Cleveland premiere of Hand to God opening Fri 4/21 and running though Sun 5/21.
