No matter what the weather, there’s always plenty going on up and down the street during the monthly first Friday Walk All Over Waterloo in the Waterloo Arts District. Sculptor Jerry Schmidt is always hosting people in his studio, packed with his intriguing work. Praxis Fiber Workshop debuted yet another show of soft artworks. Betty Skufca’s eclectic artist packed Article Gallery. Waterloo Arts is showing artist books made by a small artisanal press in Cuba, and the guys at Maria Neil Art Project are always hamming it up, even with hundreds of skulls as a backdrop — a years’ worth of work by artist Paul Sydorenko.
