Cleveland photographer Greg Murray has become well known for a really odd thing: his photos of dogs eating peanut butter. He’s recently released his book Peanut Butter Dogs and he has a calendar to go along with it.
But he’s also a skilled pet photographer who left his corporate job in 2014 to shoot animals professionally. In addition to shooting people’s pets, he photographs shelter dogs to help them find homes, and yes, he and his wife have two rescue dogs of their own.
Want to know a few of the secrets of this difficult craft? He’ll be hosting a workshop at Dodd Camera downtown. He’ll share tips for getting animals to cooperate, along with information about equipment, lighting, camera settings and environmental factors that impact photos. The two-hour workshop $49 and you better register fast because his morning workshop has been sold out for a while.
