When you were scarfing up all that cheap pizza in college, did you ever dream that pizza could be so much more than that? Now, with the proliferation of gourmet pizza establishments, it has far exceeded those humble pies that met your simple undergraduate requirements.

If you are ready to join those who have elevated pizza to an art form, come out to the Crown Point Ecology Center, where “Uncle Mud” will be conducting a four-day, hands-on workshop over two weekend (you can attend all or part of it, as fits your schedule).

There attendees will help build a cob pizza oven with a workspace and rocket cooker covered with a roundwood pavilion on the Crown Point grounds. They’ll learn how they can do this using their own soil and small trees, and they’ll go home with instructions and supply lists to help them build a smaller-scale version at home. And each weekend culminates on Sunday with a pizza dinner.

It’s $120 for all or part of the workshop. For more information email info@unclemud.com or call 440-221-6609.
