Cleveland Opera Theater Mounts Mozart’s ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ at Masonic Auditorium

Fri 4/28 @ 7:30PM

Sun 4/30 @ 3PM

Join Cleveland Opera Theater at the Masonic Auditorium when it mounts two performances of one of the staples of the opera repertoire Mozart’s lively comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro. Debuting in 1786 in Vienna, it follows nobles and their servants as they pursue a variety of romantic attractions both mutual and unrequited. And of course, there are mistaken identities and crossed signals to make things suspenseful before the right lovers are all paired up at the end.

Singing the key roles are Christopher Holmes (Figaro, valet to the count), Marian Vogel (Susanna, maid to the countess), Brian Keith Johnson (Count Almaviva) and Rachel Copeland (Countess Rosina). These will be fully stage performances with an orchestra, scenery, lighting, costumes and English subtitles for those who don’t understand the original Italian.

Tickets are $25-$150. Order online or by calling 216-512-0268.
