Vanity Crash Performs Multimedia Bowie Show at Yorktown Lanes

Sat 3/18 @ 9PM

Coming off an exciting Punk Valentine’s Day show at Wassenberg Art Center, Vanity Crash will rock out at Parma Heights’ Yorktown Lanes, a beautiful venue with great seating and views.

Thomas will bring his David Bowie multimedia retrospective and weave the presentation between Vanity Crash songs throughout the night. The presentation focuses on themes in the artist’s life: sexuality/gender, schizophrenia/insanity, fear/death/apocalypse, space/alien/star, and decadence/Fin de siècle, and the show highlights the artist’s impact on a number of fields: music, theatre, film, fashion, politics, design, production, visual art, marketing and finance. Students of any of these fields would find the presentation of interest. It’s been updated to include recently released rare and unearthed materials. Or maybe you just love the music. http://www.BowieShows.com

To complement the Bowie show, Vanity Crash is adding a few more Bowie songs and doing an extended Bowie set.

If you haven’t seen the band in a while, besides Thomas killing it on drums and Dennis Van Crash up front on guitar and vocals, Bill is being wild on guitar and the lovely Ally is belting out her young pipes. This line-up is rock steady and blowing audiences away, so much so, that the band got a standing ovation at the Wassenberg Art Center.

It all kicks off at 9pm, and there’s no cover change. We are excited to be back in the Cleveland area and look forward to seeing you at Yorktown!
