At this rate, this “art” stuff might just catch on. The Akron Art Museum invites young movie lovers to a day of international cinema at the Spark! Family Film Fest that also acts a free-to-all-ages family day in the acclaimed exhibition galleries.
The museum kicks it off with a noon run of the best short subjects from the latest New York International Children’s Festival. Then at 1pm there will be a rare U.S. screening of Molly Monster, a theatrical short-feature adaptation of a German TV show set amidst whimsically drawn creatures. It is suitable for ages 3-7 especially.
In addition the venue will host film-inspired art activities. How about finger paintings that go ruinously overbudget, or are cheesy digital remakes of earlier, better fingerpaintings? Just a suggestion.
