Scandanavian folk-inspired music is on the schedule when Norwegian composer and accordionist Frode Haltli and Swedish nyckelharpa player Emilia Amper come to the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium.
There they’ll perform Haltli’s concert-length piece The Border Woods, written for the atypical instrumentation of accordion, two percussion and the nyckelharpa, a traditional Swedish keyed string instrument. It incorporates elements of Nordic folk and connects them with Indian and Arabic scales. They’ll be joined by percussionist Eirik Raude for the performance. Tickets are $33-$45.
