The Akron Art Museum will be hosting the debut of a new music series by Apollo’s Fire, Cleveland’s internationally celebrated baroque orchestra. MusicAlive! Is a series of free, casual concerts where you can enjoy 90 minutes of music in the lobby (and something to eat and drink from the café while you listen) and then meet and chat with the musicians afterward.
The music for the program will be drawn from Apollo’s Fire’s “An Irish-Appalachian Journey,” exploring the connections between Celtic music and southeastern American folk, exploring how Irish immigrants settled in Appalachia, along with their music.
Children 8 and up are welcome, and you can come and go as you please during the concert if they get restless.
