March’s Walkabout Tremont Offers Art, Food, Drink, Shopping & More Than a Dozen Fish Fries

Walkabout

Fri 3/10 @ 5-10PM

This month’s Walkabout Tremont will have all usual food & drink specials at participating restaurants, bars and lounges, the art openings and late hours at the local boutiques. But this month it will have something else too: fish fries — lots and lots of fish fries.

March’s theme, timed to coincide with Lent, is “The Art of the Fish Fry,” and a more than dozen neighborhood restaurants and churches will be hosting them, including Prosperity, Fahrenheit and even Asian establishments like Bac and Ty Fun. Stop in at Annunciation Cleveland Greek Orthodox Church for a full-scale feast that includes beer-battered fried whitefish with french fries, coleslaw & hush puppies for $10; baked Atlantic Cod with rice, mixed vegetables & dinner roll, homemade mac & cheese, fish tacos, fried shrimp and homemade clam chowder. That should take care of any fish craving you might have!

Work it off by stopping in at openings at the Giancarlo Calicchia Gallery, Robert Hartshorn Studio & Gallery, the Loop, Flying Monkey and Edisons, and ongoing displays at many other Tremont businesses, many featuring live music. Pick up a full schedule here and plan your evening out.
