Fri 3/3 @ 5-10PM

This month’s Walk All Over Waterloo should really be hoppin’ as it coincides with the Women’s History Month art show, curated by Mary Urbas of the Lakeland Community College gallery.

A show that Urbas curated called Paintings, Prints & Poems for Meditation by Betty Skufca will be opening at ArtICle with a reception from 6-10pm. It will feature Skufca’s work in multiple media including painting, prints, assemblage art, jewelry & poetry.

At Rust Dust and Other Four Letter Words, Girls Just Want To Have Fun will feature decadent cupcakes and sparkling cider and, oh yeah, artwork by women: Joanne Abruzzino, Allison Lukacsy-Love, Erin Mazza, Julia Rainey, Jane Reynolds, Grace Wen and Linda Zolten Wood. That reception also goes from 6-10pm.

If you like to start your art partying a little earlier, the Maria Neil Art Project throws its doors open at 5pm for Paul Sydorenko’s 366 Days of Skulls. Each month, the artist worked in a different medium, as he produced a work of art featuring skull imagery for each day of 2016(remember, it was leap year!). He calls the project “a calming meditative exercise that I could do daily” and “a ritual, a practice, a meditation, a commitment.”
