Prosperity Social Club Hosts Casual Karaoke Party for Women’s Health Care

Karaoke

Sun 2/19 @ 8PM-1AM

President’s Day is tomorrow so maybe you don’t have work? Lucky you! You can come out to Prosperity Social Club’s “Cocktails and Karaoke for a Cause” and stay all night. Even those of you who work can come and sing a song or two.

What’s the cause, you ask? It’s a benefit for Cleveland-based women’s health care clinic Preterm, an established abortion provider that has broadened its services to take in a whole range of reproductive care, for group’s upcoming annual Bowl-a-thon. That raises money for the Preterm Access Fund, which provides services to lower income women — those most disempowered and limited by the abortion restrictions put in place by Ohio’s backwards legislature and Governor Kasich.

The event is a suggested $5 donation at the door, 100% of which goes to Preterm. From 9pm to midnight, Karaoke Kenny will be inviting people up to sing. And 50% of the sales of Sangria, draft beers, old-school mac & cheese and the vegan wing basket will also go to Preterm. (Prosperity’s regular menu is available and the pub is open to patrons without a cover; participation in the fundraiser is not required).
