Maltz Museum Photo Contest Solicits Photos About Civil Rights, Justice & Freedom

Maltz

Through Mon 4/17

Have you been to the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage to see its current special exhibit, This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement? If not, you need to get down there before it closes Sun 5/14.

If you have, you’ve undoubtedly been overwhelmed by the powerful message these photos send about civil rights, voting rights and justice, about those who fight for them and those who oppose them.

The Maltz Museum is now offering you a chance to share your thoughts in pictures as part of a contest. People are invited to submit their own photos on social issues such as voting rights, hate speech, inequality and civil rights. There are three categories, one for grades 3-6, one for grades 7-12 and one for adults over 18. The winner in each category will have their photo on display at the Maltz Museum and featured in the summer issue of Reflections Magazine.
