Local Musicians Grease the Way for Oil Industry Documentary at the BOP STOP

Mon 2/20 @ 7 PM

Big Oil Whistleblower isn’t the name of an old-time blues-harmonica player (would be a good one, though!), but rather a film by John Bolenbaugh. A longtime oil industry employee, he has poured his insider knowledge into a one-hour cinematic expose about toxic spills, leaks and cover-up conspiracies perpetrated by the powerful fossil-fuel business.

As a fundraiser and show of support, local music acts will bookend a showing of Big Oil Whistleblower and a Skype-session remote appearance by Bolenbaugh. The gusher of ecoactivism and outrage happens at the BOP STOP.

Jazz-leaning talents performing before and after the 8 pm documentary, screening include Christopher Reynolds, Ki Allen and Gloria O’Neil Savage.

Tickets are $15 in advance, available online, or $20 at the door, assuming the walkway isn’t blocked by tar sands oil.
