The printmaking shop at Zygote Press was wall-to-wall people on Thursday evening January 12 when it opened its doors to anyone who wanted to come down and help crank out posters to take to the Women’s March in Washington D.C. on Sat 1/21. More than 100 people crowded in among the press to make posters, drink wine, munch on pizza and talk to others about how they planned to get to D.C. Most in the room, it seemed, were going; the organizers of the Cleveland March at Public Square starting at 10am the same day, arrived to pass out flyers to those who couldn’t make the trip. One woman showed up with a bag of the pink pussycat hats that women across the country are knitting for marchers to wear and passed them out to those lucky enough to grab one. But there were plenty of posters to go around!
