Sustainable Cleveland 2019 just wrapped up its Year of Sustainable Transportation, which included such efforts as launching a Bike Share program and announcing the Bikeway Implementation Plan with a goal to increase the number of bikeway miles 250% by the end of 2017.

Those efforts dovetailed with the work the nonprofit Bike Cleveland has been doing since 2011. It’s devoted to pushing for policies and infrastructure that make bicycling attractive to more people.

If this is something you’re excited about but haven’t hooked up with them yet, you can do so at their 2017 annual meeting at the Nash in Slavic Village where they’ll give members and other interested people the scoop on last year’s progress and what they’ll be working on this year. You can meet the staff and board, listen to some speakers, have dinner and some beers — and even do some bowling, which is included in the admission price, which is $30. You can become a member that night, if you aren’t already and your dues will be discounted the amount of the entry free.

It kicks off from 4:30-5:30pm with bowling and a happy hour (cash bar). Dinner is served at 5:30pm, followed by the presentation at 6:30. There’s more bowling, beer and socializing from 7:30-9:30pm.
