Festival of Lights Warms Up Peninsula

Thu 12/15 & Fri 12/16 @ 6PM

What is there left to be said about the Cuyahoga Valley National Park that hasn’t been said so many times before? Well, on Summit County crackpot talk radio, caller go on about it being home to an army of Bigfoots. Or invading United Nations stormtroopers.

Either way, you can support the CVNP (maintaining all those Bigfoots is not cheap or easy) by attending this holiday-themed banquet, in which a menu of pork loin (vegetarian option of polenta terrine available) is accompanied by a tour through surrounding woods, illuminated after dark by candle lights (or are they the glowing eyes of the sasquatches?).

It happens in the lodge-like Cuyahoga Valley Environmental Education Center. Tickets are $30 for non-Conservancy members, $10 for children ages 5 to 11, and free to kids 4 and under. A few seats remain; if interested call 330-657-2796 ext. 100.
