PHOTOSTREAM: Pro-Choice Advocates Circle the Statehouse by Anastasia Pantsios

Wed 11/16

More than 1,000 advocates for women’s reproductive freedom gathered at the Statehouse in Columbus late on a Wednesday afternoon to send a message to our legislators that women’s choices are best left to them with no politicians involved. The group — which included men and women, families and dogs, young and old, black and white — rallied for two hours, ringing the building completely.

Several state representatives came out to check out and support the group, including Stephanie Howse (Cleveland), Greta Johnson (Akron), Dan Ramos (Lorain) and Kathleen Clyde (Kent). In fact, Clyde, who is rumored to be preparing to run for Secretary of State in 2018, joined the crowd and hoisted a sign that said “Trust women.” Hopefully she can persuade her fellow legislators to do so.
