The Mandel JCC’s Festival of Jewish Books & Authors includes 13 authors, a kids event and five venues — four synagogues in Beachwood and Pepper Pike and the JCC — over a period of 10 days.

The kids event, a character breakfast with Corduroy the bear, kicks it all off on Sun 11/13 @ 9:30am at the JCC.

But the real kickoff for the grown-ups takes place on Mon 11/14 @ 7:30 pm, also at the Mandel JCC, when actor Joel Grey, a Cleveland native, delivers the keynote address. He’ll be talking about his new autobiography Master of Ceremonies, packed with stories from his 65-year career in show business as well as the difficulty of being in the closet until early last year when he was 82. The keynote is $20 for the general public, $15 for Mandel JCC members.
