For 10 years, PetFix in Euclid has been spaying and neutering cats and dogs at very low cost, or occasionally none at all. It serves pet owners, shelters and rescues, and caretakers of feral cat colonies. It’s prevented the birth of thousands upon countless thousands of unwanted and potentially euthanized animals.
The nonprofit organization is celebrating with its No Balls Ball taking place at Executive Caters at Landerhaven. Cocktails are served at 6:30pm; dinner and program begin at 7:30.
This year it’s presenting its 2016 PetFix Hero award to the richly deserving Becca Britton.
“PetFix Heroes are honored for going the extra mile to help us realize our shared dream of a world in which every cat and dog born has a loving home,” says the organization. And Becca is well known to area animal lovers as the driving force behind Friends of the Cleveland Kennel, which works tirelessly to find adoptive homes for the animals who end up in the kennel.
