Now based in Nashville but originally from Baltimore, singer/songwriter Amy Speace, also a trained Shakespearian actress, got a late start in music, writing her first song when she was 30. She’s more than made up for lost time.

She put out her first studio album Fable in 2002, then was discovered by folk grand dame Judy Collins who signed Speace to her label. Her latest release, Applewood Road, her 7th, came out earlier this year.

She’s returning to Riverdog Barn where she’s performed before including with her holiday ensemble Decembersongs. Kira Small will be appearing with her on keyboards. Ben de la Cour an up-and-coming performer who won the New Folk prize at this year’s Kerrville Folk Festival, opens.

The barn is an informal venue where you are welcome to bring your own food and drink. You may also call or email ahead to reserve a table indoors or out, or to reserve parking, which is limited. It’s a $15 donation at the gate, $5 for students, kids 12 and under free. 440-965-8309.
