The Fifth Street Arcades is a remarkable Cleveland hot spot. Two unique, turn of the century covered arcades (The Euclid and Colonial) have been joined with a central food court and local developer Dick Pace has brought in a cornucopia of local start-ups, makers, chefs and retailers.
Mark Mathews started his bow tie business with a $25 used sewing machine off Craigslist. Now he’s set up the Whatknot Bow Tie Company in the Fifth Street Arcades in the heart of Cleveland’s business district, where lots of men wear suits and ties.
And not just bow ties. Mathews also carries boutonnieres, pocket squares, belts, socks, cuff links and what not.
