Melt Bar & Grilled owner Matt Fish has come a long way since his punk rock days. He parlayed the idea of serving grilled cheese sandwiches as an adjunct to beer into a place where families come to partake of a whole menu of grilled cheese creations.
Now a seventh location has joined the original in Lakewood and the ones in Cleveland Heights, Independence, Mentor and two in the Columbus area. The new location in north Akron worked out its kinks with a pre-opening party to which it appeared Fish had invited everyone he ever met to come chow down on free sandwiches. The new Melt offers the same combo of grilled cheese sandwiches, beer and local memorabilia that made his other six such hits. It officially opened for business Wed 7/6.
