A tree-festooned urban village filled with century homes, unique architecture and friendly people? Cool Cleveland suggests you experience Tremont by taking a walk: Here are two great ways to enhance your Tremont walking experience: The first is to use Cleveland Historical as your visual guide.

Developed by Cleveland State University’s Center for Public History, Cleveland Historical (http://clevelandhistorical.org) is a free website and mobile app that lets you explore Cleveland’s most interesting places. The second option is to take an audio tour: CSU has developed two narrated tours of the neighborhood. All you need is a smartphone and ear-buds or headphones. See details for both tours below.

Lincoln Park Tour

Take a walk around historic Lincoln Park. Learn about the park itself and ten intriguing sites—from the Ukrainian Museum-Archives, to the Lincoln Park Bath House, to Lemko Hall (where The Deer Hunter was filmed).

Visit Tremont’s myriad churches, including Pilgrim Church, St. John Cantius and St. Theodosious (where The Deer Hunter also was filmed).
