See Star Wars like you have never seen it before: in OMNIMAX! Currently being screened for a limited time at the Great Lakes Science Center’s OMNIMAX theater, Star Wars The Force Awakens has never been so immersive. See the lazers, hear the explosions and feel the force on 70mm film paired with the theater’s 11,600 watt, six-channel audio sound system delivered through 44 speakers.
CoolCleveland got a sneak peek of the film in OMNIMAX, and can truly attest to the theater’s jaw-dropping abilities. Not only was the film shot using some of the world’s most advanced IMAX cameras, but the six-story screen makes for an all-encompassing experience.
After the flick, check out how the screening is put together through their see-through projector room. It’s incredible catching a sight of the massive film running through the projector. Watching the process left us feeling in awe of how truly unique the experience was. There are only 20 theaters worldwide showing the movie on 70mm film, so get your ticket for Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the OMNIMAX before it’s too late!
