Sun 3/6 @ 7PM

Philadelphia-based jazz vocalist Laurin Talese is a Cleveland native, which explains why she’s hosting a release party for her brand-new full-length debut release, Gorgeous Chaos, here in town at the Music Box Supper Club.

An alum of the justly celebrated Cleveland School of the Arts, she headed to Philadelphia after graduation to attend the University of the Arts, where she earned her degree in jazz vocal performance. But her talents aren’t limited to jazz. She’s sung pop, R&B and classical music as well, participating in ensembles that performed with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Jazz Heritage Orchestra and traveling through Europe, Asia and Brazil.

At the same time, she’s been honing her skills as a songwriter, preparing to record her own material. With producers Adam Blackstone and Ulysses Owens Jr. and musical contributions from performers such as Christian McBride, Robert Gasper and Vivian Green, she’s poured that material into Gorgeous Chaos, following up her EP, An Invitation, released last fall.

Come join her beaming family and hometown friends at the Music Box. Tickets are $10, or $20 if you want the CD as well. Doors open at 5pm if you want to have dinner before the show.
