One of the newer vineyards along the Lake Erie wine trail, Vermilion Valley Vineyards in the Vermilion River Watershed opened in 2009 to produce wines from 12 different types of grapes, all of which are grown on its property. In addition, it makes wines from a variety of fruits including its own distinctive persimmon wine.
The bucolic vineyard also offers setting for special events and a space where visitors can enjoy the wines, food (grown onsite or sourced from local farmers), some live music and the beautiful scenery. And in the summer you can come and pick your own blueberries and blackberries too!
