While Lakewood’s India Garden boasts about its lunch buffet, you might be better off with one of its freshly prepared menu items — soups, pakoras, tandoori oven-cooked stews, and a long list of both vegetarian and meat-based entrees, including a few more unusual than what you see at most Indian places. Prices are reasonable — only one entree over $15. The décor is utilitarian; it’s clear most of the money goes into the food, which is as good as it is at many sleeker looking places.
