Northeast Ohio has long had a lot of wineries, and in the last decade, breweries have spouted like weeds. But Portside Distillery & Brewery is the area’s first distillery since Prohibition. They’ve been brewing their craft beer since spring 2013 and distilling rum since late 2012. Until now though, you had to go to area festivals and a fairly long list of local restaurants and bars to taste their offerings.
Now, you can stop in their tasting room in the Flats, where they serve their current beers and cocktails made with their own rum, along with a short menu of appetizer-portion food.
