Kent State May 4 Visitor Center

May4

In one of the best known incidents of the Vietnam anti-war era, four Kent State University students — two of them innocent bystanders on their way to class — were killed in a hail of gunfire by the National Guard during a peaceful protest. The May 4 Visitor Center at KSU contains three galleries that immerse visitors in the history of this era and helps them better understand the events of that fateful and fatal day, through photos, text and film. It also provides information for a walking tour of campus sites relevant to the events of May 4.
