Lakewood’s LEAF Community is all about spreading the word about eating better and growing sustainably. It operates community gardens and does educational programs. It also has a farmers market, which runs from the first week in June through late October on the front porch of the Lakewood Public Library. At the height of the season nearly two dozen vendors offer baked products, eggs, metals, honey, cheeses, flowers, soaps, and crafts. The market also features music and kids activities. It take place Thursdays from 5:30-8pm June through October.
