Davis Bakery & Deli is an old-school east side Jewish deli, with cases full of prepared foods, a sandwich menu of packed with corned beef, brisket and salami sandwiches, and wonderful, wonderful cakes, cookies and breads. There are all the bakery staples — rye breads, challahs, Chinese cookies, Russian tea biscuits. The dense round corn rye loaves, featured only on Saturdays, are worth a special trip. Of course, they also do party trays; what deli doesn’t?

Is this the same Davis Bakery that used to have locations around town? I remember them in Parma in the 70s.
