Metal fans, rejoice! After a year of promises, promises, Eternal Legacy — from the Center of the Heavy Metal Universe Parma, of course! — is finally releasing its new CD, Seeking No Peace, on Auburn Records. And of course it’s at Peabody’s.

For just under a decade, this band, led by brothers Shaun (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Jason (vocalist, rhythm guitar) Vanek, has been producing unvarnished heavy metal that, the band says in its bio, “does not fit into any lame subgenre. … It is for anyone who eats, sleeps, and shits heavy metal.” Its catalogue includes two previous albums on Auburn: 2009’s Lifeless Alive, and 2006’s The Coming of the Tempest, and a self-titled 2005 EP. Fans are more than ready for new ET material.

Drummer Steve Dukuslow and bassist Tim Frederick round out the group.

Ego kicks the show off at 8 p.m.; Wretch plays at 9; Deadiron at 10; the headliners will take the stage at 11 pm. Best of all, admission is free.
